Two things from my 1983 catalogue project:

I love this. I had a Barbie Burger King just like this that I bought from the thrift store when I was 8 or 9. I guess Barbie and Ken just came from the Honky Tonk club to eat some Quarter Pounders (I don't think the Big Mac was around in 1983 yet?) at 9:30 at night or something.

The JC Penny catalogue calls these clothes retro. Keep in mind this photo was taken in 1983. We look at those clothes now and call them retro. I don't know which time period JC Penny was referring to when they called these clothes retro in 1983. We they talking about fall of 1982?
Mom brought home BLT's from this little convenience store down the street and they tore my mouth all up.
^^edit^^
Oh,and we got our new direct tv boxes and remotes in today. i was afraid that we'd end up getting the big lame blue remotes, but we didn't:

I'm a Catalogue Geek!
Upon a first glance, that doesn't even look like a real Ken doll (you know, made by Mattel) but I know that McDonalds/Burger King was made by Mattell, and they would never dare put a knockoff Ken with a Mattel playset, so I guess that has to be a legit Ken.July 27 2005, 00:16:53 UTC 6 years ago
